An exciting 2017 season lies ahead for 17 year old Braeden Ortt from Calgary, Canada who will be competing in the MotoAmerica Superstock 600 championship aboard the new Yamaha R6 with Tuned Racing.
Ortt who’s now a grade 11 honor student at Strathcona Tweedsmuir School spent the last season racing in Western Europe in the WSBK Eupropean Supersport Championship as the youngest ever racer to pilot a bike in the Supersport Championship. It was a challenging year with many new things to be learned every round, and Ortt came away from the season with a greater knowledge and understanding of data acquisition, rider feedback and bike setup.
“It was a tough year but I learned so much every time I sat on the bike, and really understand the importance of feedback and bike setup so much better now. I took a lot away from last season and can’t wait to apply it this season.”
Testing has commenced already, as the team is preparing Ortt and his bike for what they all hope to be a very competitive season ahead.
“Testing had gone very well so far and I’m really happy to be back on an R6. Everything about the bike is feeling great as the team and I are working hard to get proper set up before the first round.”
